That's right, baking soda does wonders to the body. Here are 8 key reasons to keep baking soda in your medicine cabinet:

- Got sweat, make a water & baking soda paste & apply to your underarms, as a deodorant. Not only does your "deodorant" keep the smell away, it prevents sweat (perspiration) stains.

- Cleanse your hair - Adding baking soda to your shampoo or co-wash, helps to decrease build-up & residue.

- Whiten that smile - Want whiter teeth but, without the chemical bleach? Try a natural solution by mixing a tablespoon of baking soda and 5 drops of hydrogen peroxide. Add water until you have a paste consistency. Rub on your teeth with your brush. Let sit for 5-10 minutes. Brush and rinse thoroughly. For best results, do a minimum of once weekly.

- Revive your cuticles - Do you have dry and/or rough cuticles? If so, here's your answer. Mix baking soda & water to create a paste. Rub tis solution on your cuticles. Your skin is softened, almost immediately.

- Facial Exfoliant - Baking soda is excellent for removal of dead skin cells. Mix water & baking soda together for a nice paste. Apply to face & scrub in a circular motion. Let sit 5 - 10 minutes & rinse thoroughly. Pat your face dry. The best part of this natural exfoliant...NO Chemicals!

- Remove Blackheads - Take a teaspoon of baking soda & water, mix for paste consistency. Apply to your face, in a circular motion. Let sit for 5 - 10 minutes and then with either an extractor or your fingers, apply pressure to the blackhead & lift out your skin.

- Make a detox bath - Combine baking soda, bath salts & your favorite essential oil(s) to your bath & have a great calming, detoxing bath mixture.

- Great Dry Shampoo - In a rush & no time to shampoo your hair? Sprinkle some baking soda onto your hair & massage. This will help get rid of some of the greasiness.
